Cultivating Turkey Tail Mushrooms
Fruiting Directly from a Spawn Block

If you've received a turkey tail block from us and would like to fruit it as soon as possible, simply cut a long horizontal slit in one side of the plastic. Store your block in a temperate (55-65F) place out of direct sunlight. Ample airflow and humidity will help a great deal. Turkey tail mushrooms are hardy and woody, meaning they don't need as much warmth or moisture as other mushrooms. They also take much longer to fruit, so allow at least two weeks for full fruit body development.
